Boxing Day

It takes place on the 26-th of December.
It's only celebrated in few countries.
It was started in the UK about 800 years ago.
Boxing Day is a public holiday in the UK,Canada and Australia.
The 26-th of December is also St.Stephen's day.

I picked this tradition because it seemed interesting and fun..

Christmas in Africa

Christmas day begins with groups of carolers walking through the village
At about 8 o'clock everybody celebrates the birth of jesus
Christmas in South Africa is a summer holiday
Homes are decorated with pine branches
South Africans have dinner in the open-air lunch
